Grave Covering
Graves require special care that takes a lot of time and effort. Planting, weeding, watering and many other tasks are necessary to keep a grave neat, tidy and aesthetically pleasing. But is there always time for this?
Granite is resistant to cold, heat, mechanical and chemical influences, so it can withstand all weather conditions and last for years. Another advantage of granite slabs is that they make it easy to bury a person in the future. Once properly designed and installed, the slab can be easily moved away without the need for complex demolition or reconstruction works, and once the deceased is buried, it can be returned to its former position. If a traditional coffin rather than an urn is to be used in the future, it is important to take into account the width of the slabs so that it can be inserted without any interference. It will be your individual choice as to how you want the grave to be covered and we will make it happen.
Cremation and burial in urns is an increasingly common occurrence in Lithuania. There are several options for urn burial. The surface of the grave can be covered with a granite slab under which the urn is placed. The slab can be engraved with names, dates, texts or symbols according to your wishes, or it can be left uninscribed and a traditional monument or plaque placed next to it. Alternatively, we offer the installation of a columbarium. Communal columbariums are usually difficult to find, as they are either not available or all the space is taken. We make family tomb columbariums out of granite slabs of your choice. A small area can be left around them for planting plants and flowers. We will work with you to adapt the columbarium perfectly to the design of an existing grave, or to create a new grave that looks modern and presentable. As mini-columbariums are not yet widespread in Lithuania, such a tomb will look modern and distinctive without spoiling the overall appearance of the cemetery, as the columbarium is made of widely used granite and visually resembles a traditional headstone.
